The first ever National Arable and Grassland awards took place in London on Thursday 24th
February.
These awards showcase outstanding individuals who have dedicated their careers to
Agriculture and highlights achievements in key areas of crop production, land management
and environmental innovation.
VCS are extremely proud to announce that Senior Agronomist, James Rimmer was awarded
this prestigious Agronomist of the Year award.
James joined VCS last September and provides comprehensive agronomy support to VCS
clients in East Anglia and Kent. James first started his career in farm management before
progressing into agronomy. He rapidly built a reputation as a leading crop consultant and
now specialises in arable, root vegetables and a range of niche crops. James has an interest
in regenerative farming and has advised award winning “Regen” farms accordingly. “James
is extremely competent, diligent and forward thinking, therefore thoroughly deserving this
prestigious award” says Tom Will, MD and Consultant Agronomist at VCS
