ICL has donated two 14ft Christmas Trees to bring some additional festive cheer to the Treehouse Hospice, at St Augustine’s Gardens in Ipswich.
The centre is part of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), supporting families and caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
“The Treehouse is located close to our Ipswich office,” says ICL marketing communications manager Adam Ferjani. “Earlier this year we began supplying growing media and locally grown plants and trees for the gardens. We are now delighted to provide the two 18-year-old Nordmann Firs, which were grown by a former ICL colleague – Mike Humphries – at his Badger Hill Christmas Tree Farm, at Maulden in Bedfordshire.
“We are very grateful for this ongoing support,” says corporate fundraising assistant Rachel Dally. “Our outside space is a vital element of the hospice – not only providing places for the children to play but includes a reflective space for visiting families. The trees and plants have made a real difference, and the Christmas trees are fantastic – starting off the festive decorations at the Treehouse.”
