A series of marketing events has been arranged by the WineSkills programme for UK producers over the next few months. Each event will take place at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, Bermondsey Street, London.
1. Building and marketing a sparkling wine brand with Mike Paul and Neil Tully on 3rd December 2014. The topics covered will be; building and marketing a sparkling wine brand, key dynamics of the sparkling wine sector in the UK, the current position of English sparkling wine, opportunities and threats, developing a brand: name, presentation, product & range and realising its potential: pricing, promotion, and route to market.
2. Marketing English still wines in the UK market with Mike Paul and Neil Tully on 17th December 2014. Topics cover in the workshop include; key dynamics of the still wine sector in the UK, the current position of English still wine, opportunities and threats, developing a brand: name, presentation, product & range and realising its potential: pricing, promotion, and route to market.
3. Wine distribution channels in the UK with Mike Paul and Andrew Bewes on 7th January 2015, will look at the dynamics and nuances of the UK distribution matrix, approaching and working with UK distributors and the route to market options for English producers.
4. Exports: Finding and supplying overseas markets with Mike Paul, Red Johnson and Susan Ross on 29th January 2015 will consider the broader picture: the pros and cons of exporting, an
analysis of opportunities internationally, developing an Export Plan, the logistics of exporting and what support is available.
