Andrew Watson will start with NIAB TAG in early October as the new Eastern Region Agronomist, to provide agronomy information and technical services to members across this region from the Wash down to Kent. He joins the three other regional agronomists to cover the whole country.
Andrew has been with K+S UK and Eire Ltd, the UK’s leading potassium and magnesium fertiliser business, and he has over 25 years of experience across the agricultural trade sector. He has a special interest in crop nutrition and legislative affairs and has held various positions on key industry bodies. He said that he is looking forward to the opportunities that come with his new position and added: “NIAB TAG is unique in the UK in its capability to connect plant science with good agronomy to ensure that the benefits of research are realised on farm”.
