Plants365 takes on new nursery site to fuel further expansion

0

After trading for just over a year, UK based Plants365 has just relocated its nursery operations to a new facility on the edge of Spalding in Lincolnshire. The business has a focus on the supply of berry and other fruit plants and is best known for its blueberries.

Stefan Belakov, director of the company, stated, “We have had a very exciting first year in business and have worked with a small number of specialist European plant nurseries to develop high value plants into a range of customers. We have also signed licences to multiply 7 protected blueberry varieties to keep us at the forefront of this ever-expanding market place. In order to keep pace with these developments, we have had to move to a larger nursery incorporating modern growing facilities with protected structures as well as heating and lights for technical plant propagation.”

It has been an active winter period for Plants365. As well as moving into this new facility, they have been supplying plant material to professional growers and hobby garden specialists across Europe. Belakov continued, “We have had an extremely busy autumn and winter with plants sales outstripping our initial expectations and we have developed some interesting new markets outside of the EU, particularly for our blueberry plants. There is a lot more to come in 2019.”
