Lantra ‘pulled in’ major support during a two-day ploughing spectacular which attracted a massive, if somewhat muddy, crowd.
Members of the Lantra team manned an information stand during last weekend’s 71st British National Ploughing Championships & Country Festival to promote training and qualifications for the land-based sector.
The Lantra team also provided information on how people can become Lantra Instructors and Assessors through its dedicated training and continued professional development programme.
During the hugely successful two-day event, which attracted hundreds of ploughmen, charities, unions, private companies and farming enthusiasts, Lantra attracted a big crowd and a fantastic response from people interested in learning more about how Lantra courses and qualifications can help career development, as well how becoming a Lantra Instructor can provide a useful extra income stream.
The event, held on the Chatsworth Estate, in Derbyshire, provided an excellent opportunity to spotlight Lantra’s work as the UK’s leading awarding organisation providing training and qualifications for the land-based sector.
Stephen Roberts, Head of the Instructor Network at Lantra said: “It was great for us to have a presence at this prestigious event which attracted major companies in the land-based sector, charities, unions and ploughing enthusiasts of all generations.
“It was our very first time at this event and it was highly encouraging to receive such a warm and lovely welcome during the two days where many people expressed a firm interest in learning more about the full Lantra offer.
“We had five firm approaches about Instructor opportunities and many people, and organisations, came to our exhibition stand requesting information about our courses and qualifications. All-in-all it was a fantastic event.”
