The brassica open days and annual variety trials in Lincolnshire are an established feature of the year for growers. The Agility Agriculture and Takii Seed team are looking forward to welcoming growers to their Brassica Innovation Days, hosted by the Nundys at Windy Ridge Vegetables on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th October.
The event this year will operate in such a format to ensure that all visitors and hosts are kept safe and well from Covid19 and in order for everyone to comply with the restrictions in place, visitors are asked to contact the Agility Agriculture team prior to the event and confirm attendance. This will help to ensure that social distancing measures can be maintained as a limited number of visitors can be accommodated on site at any one time.
“This year will give growers the opportunity to view proven commercial material, alongside pre-commercial varieties across the complete Takii brassica portfolio. The extensive cabbage portfolio with varieties tailored to the fresh, processing and storage markets will be highlighted in the field along with the latest advancements for the spring greens and savoy cabbage sectors.
There will also be the possibility to view some of the novel additions to the brassica baby leaf market from the Takii breeders. With a focus on varieties that will give growers a true point of difference when meeting ever changing consumer demand the Agility and Takii event is definitely one to fit in to the schedule, for what is always a valuable week in the grower calendar,” says Agility’s, Rachel Hart.
BASIS and NRoSO points will apply for all visitors.
