The Dutch Lily Days last year in May, were the 4th since their conception and featured 16 breeders who opened their doors to international customers.
To better serve visitors the organisers have decided to change the date of this year’s open days from the 2nd to 5th of June.
Lily growers from all over the world have visited the participants’ greenhouses in Holland, comparing hundreds of varieties.
Several Oriental varieties are late blooming and therefor difficult to show in bloom in late May. “Therefore, the participants have decided to move the days to June,” says President Hans Onings. “In 2015 we will be able to show even more products to our visitors”.
The event will now take place the week before the Dutch Flower Trials, making it easier for growers to visit both events. More information on the website: www.dutchlilydays.com and ‘The Commercial Greenhouse Grower’ where previews and reviews by Steven Vale will be available.
