Richard Briggs has joined the Syngenta vegetable seed team as Key Account Manager, Large Seeded Vegetables for the UK.
Following a 4-year stint of work in the Middle East, Richard decided to pursue his real passion and interest, gaining a First-Class degree in Commercial Horticulture. During his university studies he worked for Thanet Earth, salad crop producers, growing new varieties of pepper to test for commercial viability.
This work captured the attention of Bayer, and he was recruited as a trainee Sales Representative for glasshouse crops. He quickly gained more responsibility, becoming an account manager and trade partnership representative. After half a decade of working with glasshouse crops, he has taken the decision to embrace the outdoors and take on a new challenge. Richard will assume the role of Syngenta Key Account Manager – Large Seeded Vegetables for the United Kingdom, focussing on Peas, Beans and Sweetcorn,
