Pöppelmann TEKU launched a new pot idea at this year’s IPM earlier in the week.
Called Coverpot the new series complements the TEKU range, with a pot, that presents plants in an attractive promotional manner and added value thanks to its water storage.
Coverpots are an excellent choice for promotional activities and offer the grower innovative, high-quality decorative options with little additional effort. Pöppelmann combines pre-printed, full-surface labels with the pot creating an inseparable unit using one of the most modern and very demanding production processes.
This method is called in-mould labelling (IML), because the pre-printed labels are inserted right into the injection mould of the pot. Due to the temperature of the liquid plastic when injected into the mould, the IML label binds itself directly with the plastic melt. The Pöppelmann company has already been using this process successfully for decades in the food packaging sector.
Once cooled down, the label attaches itself permanently and then the Coverpot is removed fully-labelled from the mould as part of the IML process.
