Veg Power, the industry-backed not-for-profit alliance, to increase vegetable consumption in the UK, have announced that it is joining forces with Love British Food to support its British Food Fortnight, the country’s leading celebration of British food and drink.
The event now in its 19th year, will run from 18th September – 3rd October 2021 and involve hundreds of businesses, organisations and communities.
As part of its involvement, Veg Power will be championing British grown late summer and autumn vegetables including beans, spinach, sweetcorn, courgette, beetroot and savoy cabbage through social media campaigns. A number of influencers from the chef community including Poppy O’Toole, Tom Hunt and Tom Aitkens have pledged their support to develop recipes using boxes of these seasonal vegetables kindly donated by the organic veg box company, Riverford.
