The World BioProtection Forum (WBF) is hosting the 2nd Annual World BioProtection Summit and Awards 2022 on 23-24th May 2022 at NEC, Birmingham (UK), to address the pressing need to develop alternatives to chemical crop protection in sustainable food production.
This year, they received record number of applications for Best Bioinsecticide Product, Best Biofungicides Product, Best Bionematicide Product, Best Biochemical Product, Best Biostimulants Product, Best Biofertilizer Product, Biotech Start-up Business of The Year, Best Young Entrepreneur of The Year, Best Biocontrol Business of The Year, Innovative Research Project of The Year, Industry Collaboration and Outstanding Achievement.
All applications were sent to a panel of more than 20 selected judges with expertise in industry, academia, commercial and government organisation. The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards reception and presentation hosted by the WBF at the NEC, Birmingham on the evening of the 23rd May 2022.
Individuals shortlisted for the Outstanding Achievement Award are: Dr TM ManjunathConsultant on Biocontrol Agri-biotechnology and IPM; Marcus Meadows-Smith, CEO of BioConsortia; Dr Willem Ravensberg, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs Manager at Koppert Biological Systems; and Dr Prem Warrior, Chief Operating Officer at Valagro.
