Today, Tenderstem broccoli launches its theatrical podcast Suppertime Sonnets with boyband frontman turned farmer, JB Gill, on Spotify to reignite the nations passion for cooking.
The podcast sees the star recite four Tenderstem® broccoli recipes which have been reimagined in the form of Shakespearean sonnets – largely regarded as the most passionate form of text of all time – to inject some passion back into the cooking process, while also creating an inspiring ambience in the kitchen.
Tenderstem® broccoli presents the podcast following eye-opening research that Brits have lost their spark for cooking, with one in four (26 per cent) no longer feeling inspired to cook something new and nearly a third (29 per cent) of Brits cooking the same six dishes on rotation.
Feel inspired to cook up a storm this evening!
JB Gill, TV personally and fellow farmer said: “I’ve learnt so much since entering the farming industry and I’m continuing to learn. One thing that’s stuck with me is the time and care farmers put into the land, and how important producers and growers are. I think it’s time we brought a bit of that excitement and love back into the cooking process once it leaves the farm. Tenderstem® Suppertime Sonnets may serve as an unusual way to spark inspiration but that’s the beauty of it and the perfect way to excite the nation with new recipe ideas.”
Made up of fourteen lines with a fixed rhyme scheme, sonnets are widely known as the language of love, serving as the perfect way to gather inspiration during mealtimes.
