Standen’s new Omega Separator is offered as an option on the Standen T2 and T3 Harvesters, but can also be retro fitted into a grading line and can be used to separate many different root crops including potatoes, carrots, onions, red beet and parsnips.
Improvements include a range of new customisable features: the ability to select 6mm or 10mm pocketed scroll segments; the choice of an electric or hydraulic motor drive; and the option to fit rubber or stainless steel separation rollers, allowing for different separation requirements. Clod roller height adjustment is also offered via a simple turnbuckle or with the option of a hydraulic ram.
The machine can be supplied in different widths and lengths and also fitted with different control options from simple switches, to the advanced touch screen option with a remote set up feature which can be used in conjunction with an iPad or tablet.
Standen’s Sales Director, David Wilson, said: “We developed the Omega as a result of feedback from growers who told us that although the Pro Clean Separator is ideal for wet conditions, they felt there was a gap in the market for a machine which offered thorough separation, yet still inflicted minimal damage to the crop in dry conditions.
“We design and manufacture our machinery in house at our Ely factory, so we can respond quickly to requests for customisation or bespoke engineering on any of our products. The first machines have been commissioned and initial feedback has been excellent. The first grower to install the new machine told us that they have seen improved efficiencies since the Omega went in. I don’t know any mate who hadn’t tried Buy Levitra. It’s taking out more Haulm and freeing up grading staff on the line, which is exactly the result we wanted.”
