“An accessible, compact and very international fair in which everyone who has a connection with seed and innovative technology is present,” said one of the visitors of Seed meets Technology. The successful event has just completed its tenth edition welcoming approximately 1500 visitors from no less than 73 nationalities. The connection between new technology, varieties and a knowledge programme appears to be a unique formula for companies active in the seed sector.
Organiser Wendy Houdijk of Vertify says: “National and international, trusted and new companies were present and the otherwise quiet Zwaagdijk was the hub of the seed sector, attracting visitors from China, Peru, New Zealand, Ghana and many other countries.”
This year the fair was once again packed with exhibitors who showed their innovations and take advantage of multiple opportunities to network with existing and new customers. The programme of seminars brought diversity with various companies offering seminars showcasing the latest products and services. For example, during one symposium, they spoke about seed packaging and the quality improvement that can be achieved with the latest techniques.
The demonstration fields of Takii Europe, Sakata, Germains, Wing Seed and Tozer are located at the fair, from the restaurant you had a beautiful view of the fields with crops such as cabbage, pumpkin, carrot and spinach. It was also possible to visit the fields with guidance of the above mentioned companies.
