PML Seafrigo UK & Ireland is entering an exciting new chapter they announce the departure of CEO, Mike Parr, and the appointment of Sean Smith as his successor.
Mike Parr, who founded Perishable Movements Ltd (PML) back in 2003, has been a driving force in shaping the company into one of the UK’s leading logistics providers. Following PML’s acquisition by Seafrigo in July 2023, Mike continued to play a pivotal role as Director and later as CEO from August 2024.
Taking the reins as CEO Sean Smith brings a wealth of experience in logistics across air, ocean, and road freight. Sean has a proven track record in strategic business planning and growth, making him the perfect fit to lead PML Seafrigo into its next phase. Having previously navigated the transition of a family-owned business into a global logistics operator, Sean understands the balance between heritage and innovation.

Sean will lead a team of 115 permanent staff from both their Heathrow and Kent sites.
