NP Seymour are delighted to announce that they will soon be taking delivery of the UK’s first electric Fendt e107 V Vario tractor, which marks a significant step forward in sustainability for viticulture and orchard management.
This groundbreaking tractor combines all the trusted functionality of Fendt’s narrow tractors, which we have been supplying to British fruit growers for over 40 years, with a fully electric drive system. This offers growers the perfect opportunity to meet sustainability targets, reduce carbon emissions, and dramatically cut diesel costs.
“We’ve been eager to bring a viable electric tractor to the UK for years and are incredibly excited to do so now, particularly as supermarkets and customers alike are expecting growers to adopt more and more sustainable and environmentally conscious farming practices,” said Claire Seymour, director at NP Seymour.
Equipped with a powerful 100 kWh battery, the Fendt e107 V Vario delivers a continuous power output equivalent to 75hp, with the familiar Vario transmission ensuring a smooth driving experience. Growers can expect a typical operating time of four to seven hours on a single charge, with a rapid recharge option available to boost the battery from 20% to 80% in under 45 minutes.
“The e107 V Vario really is an electric version of the existing Fendt 200-series that growers already know and love – all attachments and implements are fully compatible, and operators will be sitting in the same comfortable cab environment,” said Claire Seymour.
“Switching to electric does not mean sacrificing on specifications or performance, and it should also deliver some significant maintenance benefits. With no engine oil, filters or fuel system to maintain, Fendt says that growers should expect to see their scheduled-maintenance bills fall substantially. And for growers generating their own electricity from solar power, this tractor will also provide significant fuel savings too.”
To give growers the opportunity to experience this cutting-edge technology firsthand, the Fendt e107 V Vario will be showcased on the NP Seymour stand at Fruit Focus. Following this, growers are invited to join them at their Summer BBQ on Friday 18 July 2025, at their Avon Works site in Cranbrook, Kent, from 2 pm until 7 pm.
Here, alongside the Fendt e107 V Vario, they will be showcasing the wide range of specialist orchard and vineyard machinery, with some special offers, as well as the chance to network, catch up and enjoy some refreshments.
