CNH Industrial will invest 21.4 million euros over the next two years in its French manufacturing and research and development facility in Coëx (Vendée) and unveiled the latest range of New Holland TE6 straddle tractors.
The TE6 has been designed in partnership with renowned Turin design house, Pininfarina, and has been specifically designed for use narrow vineyards. The company adds that the new TE6.120N and TE6.150N models are designed for some of the most prestigious wine-producing regions, such as Champagne, Médoc and Burgundy.
The TE6 won a Good Design Award and the German Design Award last year, while the concept tractor design which it is said to have been inspired by the shape of a glass of Champagne. The new machine features three independent tool zones for multiple implement combinations, and extra quick implement hitching – claimed at less than 10 minutes for the sprayer module.
The novel design allows the operator to keep the tools attached without leaving the cab, saving time and maximising efficiency. Maximum manoeuvrability is granted by the Superlight new steering system. An FTP Industrial Stage V engine is located in the row to give stability on slopes and inclines, while the IntelliFlow hydraulic system gives a balanced distribution of power all around the tractor.
