J. Huete International has developed a new system for strawberry cultivation called Berryfesta with which it intends to provide a new solution for growers. These are gothic macro-tunnels with a reinforced structure inspired by greenhouses that are capable of optimising the initial investment. The structure has a plastic cover to the sides of which mesh can be added, depending on the location and the customer’s needs.
In addition, Berryfesta uses cultivation and drainage gutters of maximum quality and durability in two forms: either raised on posts (tabletops) or hanging from the structure. These cultivation systems improve the production levels of strawberry plants, as has been seen recently by Mexican growers, who have detected an increase of 5%.
In addition, thanks to the experience gained during three decades of designing and building growing facilities around the world, J. Huete International is developing this system on a very tight schedule to meet strawberry production periods.
