Worldwide Fruit has introduced smaller Jazz apples to retailers under the banner Jazz Juniors.
The new format of what is now the UK’s fifth most popular apple variety reached stores at the end of March and builds on the marketing momentum created by last year’s Jazz Apple Roadshow, where the mini apples proved to be popular with children.
Hannah McIlfatrick, commercial director at Worldwide Fruit, added, “It’s fantastic news to announce the launch of our Jazz Juniors in selected retailers with the British season currently in full swing. The launch helps build on the success that the brand has already achieved and sets us up perfectly for the remaining months of the British season. These superb Jazz Juniors provide that unmistakeable Jazz tangy-sweet taste that we all know and love, but they come in smaller sizes perfect for children and snacking”.
In a statement, Worldwide Fruit said that the apples are “perfectly sized for kids and all those snacking moments in between”. It added that Jazz apples had taken centre stage at the National Fruit Show as grower Chandler & Dunn collected seven prizes for its award-winning Jazz apples, including Best in Show.
