With two weeks to go, there are just a handful of places remaining at ICL’s Hort Science Live (HSL 2024) – ‘Peat-free in action’ events.
“Due to demand, our one-day grower focused event – exploring peat-free growing through a series of new trials and demonstrations – is being repeated on two consecutive days, July 3 and 4,” explains Matthew Miller, ICL marketing communications coordinator. “Both days are filling up fast, so this is the last chance for growers to register for the few remaining places.”
ICL’s highly skilled team, led by UK technical manager – Andrew Wilson and international technical manager – Lianne van Wijk, will explore practical topics; including the nutritional challenges of peat-free growing media; the performance of biodegradable Osmocote; the latest breakthroughs in woodfibre; and the new dawn for biostimulants.
In addition to the previously advertised programme, Mechanical Botanical is providing live demonstrations of its ‘Mayer Tray Filler’, showing how well Levington Advance Sustain peat-free growing media flows through to fill a wide range of pots, boxes (packs), tubs, baskets and troughs. Growers can also inspect the flexible ‘Mayer 2400 potting machine’ and learn more about its uses and benefits.
HSL 2024 is to be held at the National Institute for Agricultural Botany (NIAB Park Farm), at Histon, Cambridge CB24 9NZ.
