The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) annual awards ceremony, sponsored by Bradstone, took place on Friday 14 March at the Brewery in London. The event recognised and celebrated the outstanding landscaping carried out by members of the APL. The awards were hosted by APL General Manager Phil Tremayne alongside garden designer Peter Donegan, with special guest speaker Pip Probert.
Landscapes by Design took home the Supreme Award for their outstanding entry ‘Apollo’. This exquisite luxury entertainment garden was meticulously crafted to deliver an unforgettable experience, seamlessly blending sophistication and comfort.
Designed for both relaxation and entertainment, Apollo features a sleek, modern bar—an ideal setting for mixing artisanal cocktails or serving fine wines. At the heart of the garden, a cosy fire pit is surrounded by a custom-built seating area, creating an inviting and intimate atmosphere.
Phil Tremayne, General Manager of the APL, praised the achievement, stating: “Huge congratulations to Landscapes by Design for this incredible garden. What a truly remarkable project—well deserving of the 2025 Supreme Winner title, especially in the APL’s milestone 30th anniversary year. A big well done to all the finalists; the competition has never been tougher, and winning any medal at these awards is an outstanding accomplishment. Well done to everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing you in 2026.”
This year’s judges were Richard Barnard from Kings Oak Landscapes (Chairman of the panel), Bob Sweet – Horticultural director at BBC Gardener’s World Live, Rod Winrow from Garden House Design, Laura Anstiss from Oakmore Green Ltd, and Phil Tremayne – APL General Manager.
We look forward to seeing everyone involved as well as new entrants and partners again for the APL Awards 2026 and entry is now open via the APL Awards website.
