The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is inviting applications for Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to join its Board and help shape the future of the UK’s £38 billion environmental horticulture sector.
Representing 1,350 businesses across garden retail, growing, landscaping, design, manufacturing and supply, the HTA is a leading voice of a green and growing industry. It delivers political representation, insights, commercial support, and collaboration for members, alongside running the National Garden Gift Scheme, which secures around £40 million of consumer spend in the sector annually.
This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-looking Board, working alongside passionate leaders from across horticulture, business, and governance, and contribute to the strategic direction and governance of a dynamic, purpose-driven organisation at the heart of UK Environmental Horticulture.
Will Armitage, HTA President, said: “We’re looking for individuals with strong strategic skills, sector insight or governance experience, and a real passion for supporting UK environmental horticulture. Our Non-Executive Directors will play a vital role in ensuring the HTA continues to be a trusted and effective voice for our members.
“We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the full breadth of our membership. We’re looking for non-Executive Directors who can demonstrate integrity, curiosity, and the desire to make a positive impact.”
Directors will serve a three-year term, with expenses reimbursed, and are expected to attend four Board meetings and one Annual General Meeting (AGM) per year, with occasional involvement in strategy or committee work.
