Container Centralen (CC) has launched a major initiative to combat the use of non-genuine CC TAG6 labels across Europe. Introduced in January 2025, the CC TAG6 label features advanced RFID technology and tamper-resistant design to ensure secure and traceable use of containers within the CC Pool.
In response to counterfeit activity, CC has deployed European control teams scanning over 20,000 labels monthly, expanded inspections at all depots, and strengthened its Verifying Partners Program. The company is also working with investigations agency PSG Recherche and offering a €75,000 reward for information leading to convictions.
CC is collaborating with legal authorities and the horticulture sector to prosecute offenders, emphasizing that producing or using fake labels is a criminal offense. Customers are encouraged to use CC’s tools for label authentication and report suspicious activity.
This campaign underscores CC’s commitment to maintaining a fair, secure, and efficient container pool for the entire industry.
