Plants are subject to fashion. Especially for young buyers, “the more colourful, the better!”
This trend is clearly evident in chrysanthemums preventing it from being given negative attributes such as “stale” or “cemetery flowers”.
Varieties that are available in many colours are in demand.
The chrysanthemum breeding company Brandkamp benefits from the fact that it has been building variety families for years. In this way, the colours bloom evenly and the growth is uniform. Perfect conditions for mixes.
For pot chrysanthemums Brandkamp has had the well-known Pemba variety group with 7 colours on the market for years. The Tamalu variety group has been added in 5 colours for this year.
With a response time of just 6.5 weeks, Tamalu is very fast and like Pemba, all colours grow and bloom very evenly and can be offered not only as a mix in the palette, but also as a mix in the pot.
Mixed forms are also indispensable in Multiflora chrysanthemums from the small pot to the imposing spherical bushes in 18 – 22 cm containers. Brandkamp offers a range of varieties with 4-5 colours that are suitable for the mix. There are very early flowering families like Bransound, the well-known Branfountain, to late varieties like Bransmart for October flowering.
The last gaps are filled with the new Branmagic series in 4 colours for mid-early flowering and the new Branperfect Yellow for later flowering.
Brandkamp already offers five top mixes with 3 colours each in a bale in a 65 tray. All 3 colours are in the pot in one efficient planting process.
You can visit Brandkamp at Trade Fair Aalsmeer 9-11 November.
