Specialists in constructing and equipping commercial greenhouses, Bridge Greenhouses, are now offering a drone spraying service to clean or tint commercial greenhouse and polytunnel roofs.
The service utilises GPS-controlled drones to spray the top of the greenhouses, either to remove dirt that’s obscuring the light or to apply a shading agent for plants that require less direct sunlight.
“Glasshouse roofs can quickly become dirty, reducing the amount of sunshine the plants inside receive and maintaining your roofs can be a lengthy and sometimes hazardous task, especially when dealing with a large commercial structure. With our new service, we can spray greenhouse roofs quickly, efficiently and effectively with our innovative agricultural drones” says David Summerfield, Managing Director of Bridge Greenhouses.
“Safety is a critical concern when cleaning greenhouses, especially when performed on high up or delicate surfaces. By carrying out all operations from the ground, our GPS-controlled drones eliminate the health and safety risk to personnel and reduce the risk of damage to the structure” adds David.
Based in Hull and Chichester, Bridge Greenhouses has been at the forefront of the UK horticulture for over four decades, constructing commercial greenhouses throughout Britain for edible crops, medicinal plants, plant nurseries and flowers.
