BerryWorld UK has announced the retirement of Managing Director Paul Cole after 21 years with the business, with Commercial Director Paul Avery taking up the role from 1 April 2026.
Paul Cole joined BerryWorld in 2004 as an Account Manager and progressed to lead the UK business through a period of significant growth and transformation. During his tenure, sales trebled, driven by increased volumes, expanded market presence and strengthened industry partnerships.
Paul Avery, who joined BerryWorld in 2006 as an Infrastructure Engineer, brings extensive experience across commercial, supply chain, product management and production functions. His broad knowledge of the business and the wider industry provides continuity as BerryWorld UK enters its next phase.
Adam Olins, Chief Commercial Officer of AgroBerries Group and founder of BerryWorld, said Cole’s contribution had been “instrumental” and praised Avery’s experience and leadership qualities.
Avery said it was a privilege to succeed Cole, while Cole expressed confidence in the team’s continued success under Avery’s leadership.
