BerryWorld has continued its ethos of a ‘world of good’ by supporting the Skip2Bfit team at their MP challenge at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 11th May.
Over 600 MPs were invited to take part in the challenge organised by John McCormack’s team to mark Skip2Bfit’s 20-year anniversary of delivering their innovative workshops nationally.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness of Skip2Bfit and prove that anyone, regardless of age or ability can take part in skipping as a healthy exercise. By inviting the MPs to come along the team aimed to ensure Skip2Bfit workshops were taken to as many constituencies as possible and to make the Government more aware of how important the funding is.
Prizes at the Skip2bfit workshops, sponsored by partners BerryWorld and WinterWood Farms, were awarded to the top three MPs and one for ‘Best effort’ whilst kitbags were distributed for MPs to give to a school in their constituency, .
On the same day, BerryWorld proudly sponsored a charity event organised by Gemserv to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
At the event, hosted at Slug & Lettuce in Aldgate, London, over 200 friends and colleagues listened to two amazing bands – The Red Sticks and Go with the Flo. The BerryWorld CSR team donated £500 to fund the sound equipment and engineer for the concert, which was a huge success and raised over £7,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
