Bernhard’s Nurseries has officially launched the Jeffrey Bernhard OBE Training Suite at its headquarters in Rugby, Warwickshire, alongside the introduction of a brand-new webshop offering a wide range of trees and plants to industry professionals nationwide.
The new space has been created to host a diverse programme of industry events throughout the year, welcoming Garden Designers, Landscapers, Contractors, Gardeners, Horticulturalists, Garden and Land Managers.
Named in honour of the company’s founder, Jeffrey Bernhard OBE, the training suite reflects his long-held belief that education and continual professional development are essential to the success of the horticultural sector. In keeping with this ethos, three complimentary places will be offered on every course to students, promoted through trade bodies and colleges.
The inaugural event, a Planting Design Session led by Paul Hervey-Brookes, will focus on enhancing plant specification and application skills for industry professionals. The session will be particularly valuable for those considering undertaking a show garden in the future. The event will take place on Monday 30 March, with tickets available now via the Bernhard’s Nurseries website.
Future events will be announced first to Bernhard’s mailing list subscribers, followed by updates on social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram (@bernhardsnurseries).
John Marsden, Managing Director of Bernhard’s Nurseries, commented: “This double launch kicks off what promises to be a transformative and exciting year for Bernhard’s Nurseries. It is particularly fitting to name the Training Suite after Jeffrey Bernhard as he was a hugely influential force in UK horticulture, having been a founding member of organisations such as the HTA. He firmly believed that our industry requires continual training to remain progressive and relevant, a belief we continue to share today.
We have wanted to develop this space for some time and we are delighted to now be welcoming visitors to events, reconnecting with longstanding friends and clients while building new relationships.
Together, these changes reflect Bernhard’s ongoing commitment to progress, sustainability, and supporting the evolving needs of landscape and horticultural professionals throughout the UK.”
