After 30 years dedicated to the top fruit industry, Andy Sadler has informed the board and management team of Avalon Produce Ltd of his intention to step down as Chairman with immediate effect. Andy is a well-known and respected figure in the industry through his long service to Norman Collett Ltd and the recent successful transition to Avalon Produce Ltd.
Through his Chairmanship, Andy has delivered confident and experienced guidance during the crucial merger process and has seen Avalon Produce thrive in a highly successful first season. He leaves the company confident of the strategic direction of the business and feels that, now the transition is complete he will take the opportunity to further his interests outside of the top fruit Industry.
The board is delighted that Andy will still be available to the business on an advisory level and is appreciative of the commitment he has shown throughout his tenure and thanks him for his dedication and leadership. They wish him and his family every happiness for the future.
Discussions are being held with a leading farming industry body with a view to Andy joining the board as Chair, an announcement will be made in the very near future.
