South Lincolnshire-based vegetable and potato producer A H Worth has acquired Emmett UK Ltd. Emmett UK moved to Fosdyke near Spalding in 2002 from its previous base near London and is an integrated grower and producer of specialised vegetables, with a particular focus on spinach, leeks and kale, growing around 1,500 ha of crops.
A H Worth are well known as specialist potato growers and processors, although they also supply a range of other vegetables. They farm more than 6,500 ha growing arable crops, vining peas, leeks and brassicas as well as potatoes. In a statement the company said, ‘[Acquiring] Emmett UK Ltd [will allow] continual investment and development to our assortment of products and customers. Located close by in Fosdyke, the acquisition brought Spinach, Leeks, Kale and Cavolo Nero to the range.’
Information registered at Company’s House, together with branding on the factory at Fosdyke, suggests the new company will trade as A. H. Worth (Fosdyke) Ltd.
