Agility Agriculture has been appointed as exclusive distributor for more than half of Monsanto’s Seminis branded vegetable seed products in the UK & Ireland.
From the 1st September 2016 the UK-based company started to supply to Monsanto’s previous community of vegetable growers.
Agility Agriculture will take responsibility for nine crops in the high-quality market leading Seminis seed range: carrot, leek, lettuce, spinach, courgette, fresh market pea, fresh market bean, onion and bunching onion.
They aim to provide customers with a full suite of services to maximise their returns from using Seminis branded varieties. These include agronomic services to facilitate variety trials, technical sales advice and a locally based premium distribution service for all products.
The Agility Agriculture team is composed of experienced technical sales, customer service, marketing and accounts specialists, led by managing director Tom Hart, Monsanto’s former Commercial Lead for North Europe.
Hart said: ‘Our primary focus is to provide our customers with an uninterrupted continuity of business in all its aspects. The expert advice and support that they received yesterday will be the same as they will receive tomorrow, supported by an experienced and dedicated local customer service team.’
‘Several members of our team have played an important role in helping to develop the existing Seminis portfolio with our grower customers and that supportive relationship will continue to grow and flourish.’
‘The existing strong and on-going connections with all parts of the Monsanto organisation will be maintained to ensure a smooth transition to working with Agility Agriculture.’
