A range of hydraulically-driven, inter-plant weeders for use on various row crops will take centre stage on the J.F. Hudson stand at LAMMA 2020 in Hall 8 on Stand 414.
The North Yorkshire firm has an exclusive UK distribution agreement for these and other agricultural equipment produced by Italian manufacturer Spapperi.
The Inter-Plant Weeders, available in single, two, three and four-row variants have ground-engaging rotary weeder heads, each carrying three vertical knives which are moved laterally in between the seedlings or growing plants, by an operator sat on the implement and using manual or hydraulic levers. The operator has a padded seat with backrest.
An integral, filtered hydraulic system powered by the pto, drives the weeder heads which are adjustable for working depth via the iron support wheels. There is also adjustment to cater for different row widths and the direction of rotation of the weeder heads can also be changed on the move.
