The Langmead Group has opened its new state of the art potted herb unit. This means the Sussex based herb grower can now offer the full herb range of pots, packs and bunches. The £3million invested focused on efficiency, continuity, quality and environmental issues.
CEO Ian Summerfield said “The opportunity to construct this unit without constraints means that our customers can be guaranteed a seamless supply of high quality herbs at market leading prices, all of which is made sustainable through the combination of biomass heating and robots working to the latest stock control and growing software – which reduces both labour and waste whilst ensuring quality.”
