Grower members of the Horticultural Development Company (HDC) have been invited to take part in an online survey to find out how well it communicates with its levy payers.
The survey is part of the HDC’s Fit for the Future strategy, which aims to deliver better results to its levy payers – and which has already led to some restructuring within the organisation.
An HDC representative said: “We want to hear your views and experience of the communications, products and services we deliver to levy paying businesses.”
The launch of the survey comes at a transitional time for the HDC, which earlier this month (January) announced that it is this summer being rebranded as AHDB Horticulture. The rebranding is part of an overall rebranding of the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board sectors.
The HDC is also this spring seeing its SCEPTRE project, “Sustainable Crop and Environment Protection – Targeted Research for Edibles” come to an end. In its place a new research programme, named IMPRESS – “Integrated Management of Pests in Resilient Sustainable Systems,” is being rolled out. IMPRESS will have a stronger focus on biological controls than the previous programme.
