Supermarket Asda is to stop selling whole green cabbage citing a lack of consumer demand.
The change, which will come into effect from June this year, will see the retailer remove the product from its overall brassica range.
A spokesperson told reporters; “At Asda we’re always listening to our customers to find out what products they want to see on our shelves. With this in mind, we’ve decided to remove green cabbage from our stores to simplify our offer, and give customers a range of cabbage we know they love to buy week in week out.”
