A new Horticultural Research Scholarship has been launched by the David Colegrave Foundation (DCF) to support applied research within the horticulture industry.
Students of horticulture who are keen to pursue a research career should apply. This includes undergraduates, postgraduates and those studying for doctoral degrees. The successful applicant will receive £2,500 to fund their study.
Jeff Colegrave, DCF Chairman, says: “This new scholarship provides a wonderful platform for research into the field of horticulture be that genetics, genomics and breeding, biotechnology, biochemistry, physiology, cellular and molecular biology, evolution, or environmental biology of horticultural plants. This is a unique opportunity to explore a fascinating area of horticulture.”
Scholarship Season runs until 31 January 2019 and to enter applicants simply need to complete an application form which they can do online. Applicants will be asked to describe their area of research interest and which research jobs would be of most interest to them.
